Milton Ingbert Bakken, 79, of Kenyon, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Kenyon Sunset Home. He was born May 28, 1930 in Sebeka the son of Carl and Mabel (Norem) Bakken. Milton graduated from Kenyon High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps. from 1951-1953. Milton owned and operated Bakken Tiling for many years. He was a member of Hegre Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Zola Bakken of Wanamingo; sons, Dennis Bakken of Kenyon, Bruce (and Carrie) Bakken of Kenyon, Chris (and Tanya) Bakken of Faribault; daughters, Nita Estrem of St. Paul, April Klinger of Owatonna, Nancy Steinberg of Kenyon; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Paul (and Toni) Bakken of Santee, CA; sisters, Ruth (and Roger) Bolson of Bloomington, Esther (and Warren) Crosby of Granite Falls, Viola Davis of Vancouver, WA, Alma Johnson of Redlands, CA and nieces and nephews. Milton was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one sister. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm and at Hegre Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 1-2pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 2:00pm at Hegre Lutheran Church with Reverend Richard Hegal officiating. Interment will be in the Hegre Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Bakken family.
