Milton R. Buhrt, 93, of Owatonna, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at Homestead Hospice House. He was born May 26, 1916 in, Steele County Minnesota the son of William and Clara (Nielson) Buhrt. Milton served in the United States Army from 1942-1945. On May 20, 1945 he married Gladys Raymond at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna, and the couple moved to Texas for Milton to finish his time in the Army. The couple later returned to Owatonna where side-by-side they built the house they lived in until the time of Gladys''s death. Milton worked as a machinist and as an auto mechanic; in his retirement years he enjoyed woodworking and traveling with his wife. He is survived by sister, Gladys Albert of Owatonna, niece Joyce (and John) Kilness of Medford, and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Gladys. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday February 11 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Funeral service will be held Thursday February 11, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Dr. Ronald D. Wilson officiating.
