Mitchele passed away at 8:45 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Owatonna Hospital with his brother, Michael Rath, by his side. Mitchele Blaine Rath was born February 28, 1953 in Faribault, Minnesota, the seventh of eight children born to Floyd and Acqunetta (Stencel) Rath of rural Faribault, MN. He entered this world with the severe medical challenges and Downs Syndrome. He lived at home until he was 19 years of age. He then moved to the Minnesota School for the Retarded in Faribault in 1972. In 1982, he moved to Rainbow Residence-Cedardale Homes-now Kaplan Woods Care Home in Owatonna, Minnesota. Mitchele was loved for his sweet disposition and gentleness. Many attributed this to his upbringing and the care he received from many. Mitchele is joined in Heaven by his parents and older brother, Charles Rath. He is survived by his siblings, Rita Price, Charles Rath, Patrick Rath, Terrance Rath, Michael Rath, Quentin Rath and Mark Rath. A celebration of life is planned for Mitchele at noon on Saturday December 8th at Pizza Ranch in Owatonna, MN. Internment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Easton, MN on Saturday December 15, 2018.
