Obituary

Nadine Peters was born Nadine Geneva Tritabaugh to Phillip and Flo Tritabaugh on October 24, 1919 in Eden Valley, Minnesota. She died October 24, 2010 during the last few minutes of her 91st birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Wendell, as well as two infant daughters, Janice Jo and Terri Lynn. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, John Peters; a sister, Patricia Ann Rankin of Cashmere, Washington; and five daughters: Judith Joy Brossard (Jay) of Wenatchee, Washington; Joanne Flo Trott (Donald) of Guntown, Mississippi; Sara Jane McLaughlin (William) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Phyllis Louise Hodel (Russell) of Colusa, California and Debra Kay Lewis of Namibia, Africa; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren. Nadine raised her family in Eden Valley and moved to Owatonna and Blooming Prairie in later years, eventually residing at Park Place Senior Congregate and Cedarview Care Center. She survived a major stroke in 1981. Nadine was an active member of the Church of God in Eden Valley, Minnesota. Her hobbies included gardening, baking, and various needle arts--especially quilting. At retirement the quilting became a mutual endeavor for John and Nadine. Her real joy was preparing a meal for family and friends. The family feels her loss but has the hope of a new life with Jesus Christ, Our Lord. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
