Nicholas (Nick) Klapperich Nicholas Klapperich, 77, of West Concord passed away early Saturday morning at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester, MN. Nick was born on May 11, 1934 in Austin, the son of Stephen and Christina (Mueller) Klapperich. He graduated from Adams High School in 1952 and later moved to Owatonna to work as a radio/tv technician for Vic Christopherson. Nick and Mary Jean Johnson were married at Sacred Heart Church in Owatonna on February 15, 1958. They then purchased the business from Vic and his wife. Nick''s final career was in the maintenance department at McNeilus Steel, where he retired in 2008 after 20 years. In his years in Owatonna, Nick enjoyed playing baseball with the Owatonna Aces semi-pro team, and thoroughly enjoyed the game of golf. He was a great fan of the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings. He was also a great cook, known for his BBQ ribs, German potato salad and frosted brownies.
