Obituary

Update as of 9/15/2020 A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna with visitation one hour prior. Nicklaus Lewis Arthur Larson, 38, of Owatonna, died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 28, 1981 in Owatonna the son of Lonny and Valerie (Nelson) Larson. Nick graduated from Owatonna High School in 2000. He then moved to Sanborn, IA shortly after graduation with Niki where he worked at AMPI. Their first child Braydn was born in Sheldon, IA on October 26th, 2000. In 2003, Nick and his family moved to Brainerd where Nick worked for Kuepers Construction. While in Brainerd, Nick and Niki had their second child Kiya on October 6, 2005. Nick and Niki then moved back to Owatonna in 2006. Shortly after moving back to Owatonna, their third child Ellie was born on September 29, 2006. He worked for RK&T Construction from 2006 until being diagnosed with cancer in December 2015. Nick also spent a couple years remodeling homes. On September 28, 2012 Nick married his life partner and love of his life Niki Berry in Owatonna after having been together for 13 years. Nick's family meant the world to him. He was a proud father and husband. He loved spending time watching his children grow up, participate in their many activities and sports. He also enjoyed golfing with his family. Nick had a great sense of humor and was loved by many. Nick kept a positive attitude despite facing adversity. He fought his cancer with courage, perseverance, humor and love. He fought for his family and he fought for his wife, whom was his rock. He is survived by his wife, Niki Larson of Owatonna; children, Braydn, Kiya and Ellie Larson; parents, Lonny and Valerie Larson of Owatonna; sisters, Karla Larson, Jean Larson, Tanya (and Korey) Borchert all of Owatonna; maternal grandparents, Carol and Elsie Nelson of Owatonna. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Dolores Larson.
