Nona Marie Wing, 73, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, June 2, 2012 after a four year battle with cancer. She was born August 29, 1938 in Nicollett County, the daughter of Edward and Hazel (Greenig) Mans. Nona attended country school for seven year and then graduated from Nicollett High School. She worked for two years at Prudential Life Insurance after high school. She married Jerry Wing had four boys and they later divorced. Nona loved the holidays, spending time with family, visiting friends, cooking, camping, and playing cards. She liked to visit the casinos with her friend for life LeeAnn Janke. She is survived by her sons, Dan (and Denise) Wing of St. Paul, David Wing of Minneapolis, Christopher, Wing of Minneapolis, Patrick Wing of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; sister, Gail Kost of Myrtle Beach, SC; four nieces; four nephews; and her very dear companion and caregiver Harlan Roeker of Owatonna. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Larry Mans; sister, Stevie Biessener. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. and one hour before the funeral service. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend John Sauer officiating.
