Otto Leo Roneker, age 65, of Waterville, MN, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, at the Benedictine Living Community of Owatonna.
Born on September 12, 1960, in Yuma, Arizona, to Mikiko Mori and Earl Roneker. Otto was known for his outgoing, intelligent, witty, and loving personality. Otto earned his GED, served in the Army for a year, and, upon returning home, spent most of his career as an over-the-road truck driver, logging over 1 million miles.
Outside of work, Otto was passionate about family, rock hunting, making memories, golfing, and animals. He could often be found on the sidelines, watching his grandson play football and basketball and yelling at the referees about calls they didn't get right. Above all, he was a devoted father who taught his children the importance of family, the value of knowledge, and the importance of earning respect.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Roneker; children, Mark Roneker (Jen Roneker), Tabatha Lamphere (Justin Laplander), Samantha Roneker (Dylan Petersen-Fein), Lea Schroeder (Josh Schroeder), Elizabeth Orick (Steven Orick); and 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mikiko Mori Pinkerton; his stepfather, Ted Pinkerton; his father, Earl Roneker; and his brother, Earl Roneker.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, and we will update everyone on the date and location.
