Obituary

Patricia Ann (Bruce) Boevers Patricia passed away on May 6, 2020, after a long battle with lung cancer. Patricia was known mostly by Patty or Pat. She was born in Bayonne, NJ in 1955. After leaving New Jersey, she lived in Connecticut for years to eventually find her forever home in Minnesota. Life wasn't always easy or kind to her, but she never let that stop her from fighting for something more. She was the true definition of a FIGHTER. She approached cancer with the same gusto and fight she lived her life. She made the most of her last years. As a mom, she showed us how to fight for things and to never give up. Resilience is something all us kids learned from her. She also showed us how to love, because of this as a family, we always express how much we love each other. Mom loved to dance and sing. As children, we remember her always dancing and singing around the house. She is also known for her mad puzzle skills. She always had a puzzle in process on her table and welcomed anyone to come and help her. She was one funny lady. We had lots of laughs. There wasn't a single person she met she didn't make an impact on. Every person who talks about our mom will say she was so much fun and we loved her so much. She gave to others even when she didn't have anything to give. Her true pride and joy were her 6 grandkids. She loved being a grandma, and she took this job very seriously. Whatever the kids wanted, she tried to do with them and enjoyed every moment of it. We love you Mom and Grandma. You will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Joanna (Jody) Lindner, Keith Leonardo (Melisa Leonardo) and Harry Leonardo Jr; 6 grandchildren Jory, Jaden, Nate, Jayce, Kenzie and Reid; sisters Jackie Pittman (John Pittman), Victoria Bruce; fiancé Tony Fehrman; many nieces/nephews and friends. She is predeceased in death by mother Rita Bruce, father James Bruce and sister Joanna (Jodi) Travelino. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would love it if you could make a donation in mom's name to Homestead Hospice House-Allina Hospice Care. Without the help of Allina Hospice Care and Homestead House in Owatonna, we wouldn't have been able to give mom the best care possible at the end.
