Patricia died on Saturday, January 10, 2009 in St. Mary''s Hospital, Rochester. Patricia Ann Nelson was born the daughter of Rudolph and Ruth (Boldt) Nelson on November 24, 1941 in Faribault. She was raised and attended school in Kenyon graduating from Kenyon High School in 1959. Pat was united in marriage to David Burow on September 23, 1960 in St. John''s Wheeling. They made their home near Kenyon and here Pat started her own daycare in their home. In 1966, Pat worked for the Mattress Company in Kenyon and in 1972 she went to work at the Regional Center in Faribault as a cook. She eventually became head cook at the center and worked there until 1996 when they closed. Pat started taking care of children doing daycare in her home again and in October 2005 Pat and David moved into Kenyon. Pat had a special love for her grandchildren and other children as evident of her years of caring for them in her home. She enjoyed watching her own children and grandchildren play in high school sports over the years. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and cooking. She is survived and will be missed by her husband of 48 years, David of Kenyon, and their children, Dean (and Peggy) of Wanamingo, Tammie Behrens of Pine Island, Jeff (and Holly) of Kenyon, her mother, Ruth Nelson of Faribault, three brothers, Jim (and Thelma) of Faribault, Don (and Ellen) of Blaine, Scott (and Gail) of Byron, sisters-in-law, Donna Nelson of Rochester, Ruth Sanborn of Medford and Audrey Reichert of Northglenn, CO. Pat is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Nicole, Amanda, Mitchel, Daniel, Morgan, Clay, Angela, Hunter, Jacob, Sydney and Casey. Her father, Rudy and a brother, Tom, preceded her in death. The family request that memorials be sent to the American Heart Association in loving memory of Patricia. A memorial service for Patricia Burow, 67, Kenyon, will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. in First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenyon with Reverend Luther Mathsen officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in Michaelson Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in the Kenyon Cemetery.
