Patricia Louise Loftness, 72, of Blooming Prairie, died peacefully Friday, April 20, 2018 at her home.
Pat's desire for others to learn more about life and death resulted in her gift of her body to the Anatomy Bequest Program at the University of Minnesota for educational study.
She was born February 23, 1946 in Vancouver, Washington. She moved to Minnesota in 1963. Pat was proud to be a homemaker and was an accomplished seamstress. In 1989, she returned to Vancouver to run her mother's custom, interior sewing business (and even made pillows for Donald Trump) and in 1994, returned to Minnesota. Never afraid to try something new, she went to driving school around the age of 50 and became an over-the-road truck driver logging over 1 million miles. She retired in 2015. Pat loved working on her house and yard. She also took much pride in being a member of the White Earth Indian Reservation.
She is survived by mother, Irene Lorentz of Minneapolis; daughter, Kristin Aronson of Minneapolis; son, Kirk (Ellen) Aronson of Claremont; sisters, Ann Brown of Vancouver and Judy Peterson of Seattle; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cliff Olson; step-father, Kenneth Lorentz and daughter, Betsy Aronson.
