Patricia J. Nelson, 71, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital. Patricia was born March 29, 1942 in Owatonna, the daughter of Al and Helen (Crandall) Probst. She graduated from Owatonna High School and worked for First National Bank as a teller. She married Allen 'Butch' Nelson on July 6, 1963 in Medford. She was a member of the Owatonna VFW Auxiliary. Patricia enjoyed gardening, knitting, and crocheting. She was great at baking and making pies. She loved to spend time with family and precious grandchildren. Patricia is survived by her husband, Butch Nelson of Owatonna; children, Lisa (and Michael) Counter of Owatonna, Barb (and Duane) Renchin of Owatonna, Mike (and Patti) Nelson of Owatonna; grandchildren, Erica, Brooke, Natalie, Brianna, Michael; siblings, Darryl (and Barb) Probst of Owatonna, Terry (and Brenda) Probst of Medford, Sue (and Russ) Zirngible of Owatonna, Ron (and Jeannie) Probst of Owatonna, Phyllis (and John) Glynn of Janesville many nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday May 7, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. and at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Reverend Edward McGrath officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to donor''s choice.
