Pauline Susan Boe-Richey, 47, of New Richmond, WI, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at University of Minnesota Medical Center from a rare cancer called Signet Ring Cell Adenocarcinoma of the appendix which metastasized to her peritoneum. It was found in December of 2005. She was born August 17, 1961 in Owatonna the daughter of Norman "Arlo" and Lois (Sahl) Boe. Growing up in West Concord she helped her mom and dad with West Concord Nursery Greenhouse. She also worked as a parts person at Boe Jeep Dealership. She graduated from West Concord High School in 1979 and from Rochester Vo-Tech in 1982 with an Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting. In 1984, Pauline married John B. Richey of Rochester and they moved to Blacksburg, VA. She became a Mechanical Designer with Litton, Poly-Scientific, where she was involved with the research and design of Printed Circuit Flex Tapes one notably used in the V-22 Osprey vertical takeoff plane for the military. In 1989, Pauline and her family moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family and in 1994 moved to New Richmond, WI. She is survived by her husband John Richey of New Richmond; sons, J. Brandon Richey, Evan Richey, Drew Richey all of New Richmond, WI; mother, Lois Boe of West Concord; brother, Jeff (and DeAnn) Boe of Byron; sister, Rachel (and Dan) Lewis of Sioux City, IA; niece, Jordyn; nephews, Jacob, Ryan, Eric and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Pauline was preceded in death by her father Norman Arlo Boe. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 1-2pm. Funeral services will be held July 1, 2009 at 2:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, West Concord with The Reverend Chris Brekke officiating.
