Pedro Pete Castillo Garza Jr., 64, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Hospice of Dubuque Iowa, surrounded by generations of his family as he left this earth. He was born September 11, 1953 in Maple Island, Minnesota the son of Pedro and Irene (Castillo) Garza. He was united in marriage to Candace Clague on July 19, 1974. During their marriage, they had three children and later divorced. On July 28/29 2000, he married Donita (Priebe) Connor. Donita brought two children into their marriage. Pete was an avid supporter and involved with the Boy Scouts. He loved camping and also enjoyed pool league and dart league. What he truly enjoyed the most, was being a grandfather. He was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Chris (and JoAnn), Jeff (and Sandy), Tina (and Eric Sutter), Heather Turek and Don Connor; grandchildren, Alexis, Zach, Alex, Grace, Katie (Chadd), Sidney, Jayda, Camryn, Baylee and Talon; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Phil) Pena, Rosa (Mike) Reyes, Barbara (Alonso) Rosales, Tomas and Joe (Monica). He was preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Irene; wife, Donita Garza and twin brothers, Roberto and Rodolfo. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 28th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held December 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home.
