Penny Jean Larson Nepomuceno, 59, of Owatonna, died Monday, July 22, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born March 7, 1960 in Owatonna the daughter of Arthur and Dolores (Lewison) Larson. Penny graduated from Owatonna High School in 1978. She married Alonso Hernandez and they had three children together. They were later divorced. On October 28, 2008 she married Teodoro "Miguel" Nepomuceno Arguello. Penny worked at the Migrant School, Owatonna Clinic and most recently for Bio-Mat USA, Inc.
Penny was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She had a very strong faith and deep relationship with God. She loved dancing, singing, shopping, purses and antiques. Penny was very fond of meals prepared by her son Caleb and by her husband Miguel. Shrimp soup was among her favorites.
She is survived by her husband, Teodoro "Miguel" Nepomuceno Arguello of Owatonna; sons, Ashley Hernandez, Lewis Hernandez, Caleb Hernandez all of Owatonna; grandchildren, Sheyla Hernandez, Ella Zylstra, Isaiah Hernandez, Sebastian Hernandez, Kevin Hatley, Jr.; brother, Lonny (and Vali) Larson of Owatonna; sister, Dianne Talley of Owatonna; step-sisters, Mary (and Dave) Schutter of Owatonna, Sharon Dodge of Plymouth; step-brother, Terry (and Paige) Wagner of Delano and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm and at Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:30am at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Todd Buegler officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
