Peter David Backman, 60, of Owatonna, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at his home. He was born September 25, 1951 in Mankato, Minnesota the son of Karl and Virginia (Johnson) Backman. Peter lived in Eagle Lake for the majority of his life. He enjoyed deer hunting in Wyoming with a group of buddies. He was a passionate Vikings and Twins fan, liked to golf and play cards with his friends. He is survived by brothers, Karl and Murel Backman; sisters, Karen Backman, Deann Mosley, and Janie Stroebl. Peter was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held on Firday, May 4, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna, with a brief prayer service at 3 p.m. Arrangements by Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna.
