Phyllis Jean (Cummins) Dohrmann, 73, of Dodge Center, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at her home. She was born April 23, 1937 in North Loup, Nebraska the daughter of Tony and Doris (Flynn) Cummins. Phyllis graduated from North Loup High School in 1954. She married Alan Knobel in 1964 and they were later divorced. On July 16, 1982 she married Bill Dohrmann. He preceded her in death in 2001. Mrs. Dohrmann worked for Federated Insurance and later owned and operated the Sunset Grill in Dodge Center until retiring. She enjoyed bowling, collecting owls, bird watching, and being with her family and friends. Phyllis cherished her grandchildren and made sure to follow all their activities. She was proud to share their accomplishments with others. She also enjoyed the care and company of her cousins Doug and Diane. She is survived by sons, Rick (and Donna) Knobel of West Concord, Jeff (and Glenda) Dohrmann of Pine Island; daughters, Sue (and Scott) Husbyn of Zumbrota, Sheila (and Jim) Kolling of Kenyon; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia (and George) Thorngate of Lincoln, NE; brother, Robert Cummins of Mesa, AZ and nieces, nephews and cousins. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Kim; sister, Jerry. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm and at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Pine Island on Thursday from 12pm to 1pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1pm at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Pine Island with The Reverend John Torris Lohre officiating.
