Randall S.Germundson 60, of Kenyon, died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born July 12, 1950 in Faribault, Minnesota the son of Sanford and Edna (Benson) Germundson. Randy graduated from Kenyon High School with the class of 1968, and was drafted into the United States Army in 1970 serving in Vietnam until 1971 and in the reserves until 1976. Randall started driving truck for various businesses, including Midwest Trucking in Rochester and various farmers around the Kenyon area. He was a member of the Kenyon VFW Post 141, Kenyon Color Guard, the American Legion, and Gol Lutheran Church. Randy was a member of the Kenyon Sportsman's Club, and also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and never was shy about meeting new people. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Germundson of Menomonie, siblings Jay (and Kathy) Germundson of Faribault, Suzanne (and Dan) Battcher of Eden Prairie, Linda Germundson of Kenyon, Paula (and Travis Way) Germundson of Kenyon, Lorna (and John) VanKirk of Indianapolis, and three nieces and one nephew. He is also survived by his aunt, Evelyn Germundson, uncles, Glenn Benson and Lavern (and Jean) Benson all of Kenyon. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Friday February 11, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Gol Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Gol Lutheran Church with Pastor Marvin Kormann officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Kenyon Color Guard.
