Randall 'Randy' J. Ballstadt, 52, of Owatonna, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 in Albert Lea, Minnesota He was born May 9, 1960 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Lowell and Gladys (Enzenauer) Ballstadt. He attended Owatonna High School. Randy entered the United States Air Force where he served as a missile mechanic until his honorable discharge. After the service he worked at Viracon for nine years, then Foam Craft for several years. He most recently worked at Cashwise in Owatonna. Randy loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. He liked to read and loved trivia. He especially enjoyed the Guiness Book of World Records. He also enjoyed classic rock. He is survived by his mother, Gladys Ballstadt of Owatonna; three brothers, Scott Ballstadt, Jerry Ballstadt, and Ron Ballstadt (and Tammy Brink) all of Owatonna; six nieces and nephews, Jason (and Michelle) Ballstadt of Northfield, Angela Ballstadt of Owatonna, Tina (and Mike) Klemenson of Claremont, Chris Ballstadt of Owatonna, Brady Ballstadt of Harrison, Arkansas, and Kaela Ballstadt of Kasson; seven great nieces and nephews; uncle, LaVern 'Ike' (and Lavila) Enzenauer of Owatonna. He is preceded in death by his father, Lowell, infant niece, and aunts and uncles. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Ron Wilson officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Steele County Military Funeral Unit.
