Raymond Merle Anderson, 82, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Owatonna Hospital. He was born January 2, 1928 in Otisco the son of Thomas and Mable (Klemmenson) Anderson. Ray served in the US Navy from 1945-1949. He married Marion Knutson March 5, 1949 at which time the couple made their home in Owatonna. Ray retired from Wenger Corporation after working there for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW and the Eagle's. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Marion Anderson of Owatonna; sons, Ray (and Sue) Anderson of Owatonna, Russ (and Lisa) Anderson of Kasson; daughters, Judy Anderson of Blooming Prairie, Nancy (and Larry) Paul of Medford; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother Thomas (and DeLoyce) Anderson of Barnsville; sister, Evelyn Standke of New Richland and nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and sister. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm and at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday from 9am to 10am. Funeral services will be held March 8, 2010 at 10:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend John Lestock officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna with Military Honors provided by the Steele County Military Funeral Unit.
