Raymond Edward Walsh, 89, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Owatonna Hospital.

He was born December 14, 1934, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the son of Francis and Loretta (Faye) Walsh. Ray graduated from Northeast Catholic High School. He enlisted in the US Airforce in January 1955, and was honorably discharged in November 1958. He married Barbara, his wife of 60 years, in September of 1963. They spent their early years in Philadelphia, PA, where he worked for Coca Cola until his retirement. They moved to Naples, Florida for 8 years, and ultimately settled in Owatonna, MN.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Walsh of Owatonna; children, Raymond Walsh of Oreland, PA, Kelly (and Marco) de Bruin of Owatonna; grandchildren, Emma, Connor, and Annelies de Bruin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Loretta Walsh; brothers, Frank, Richard, Michael Walsh; sisters, Geraldine Pepper and Patricia Walsh.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Reverend Ron Huber will be officiating. His remains will be interred at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA at a later date.
