Renee Christine Miller, 69, of Owatonna, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at home.

She was born August 1, 1954 in Kenosha, Wisconsin the daughter of Clarence and Frances (Gorski) Hansen. She grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin. When she was 12 years old, a tragic house fire claimed the lives of her parents and brothers, Clarence "Butch" and Kenneth. Renee went to live with her aunt and uncle Lorraine and Jon Heins.

On July 4, 1991, she married William "Rick" Miller in Las Vegas. The couple lived in Owatonna.

Renee loved spending time with family and friends. She loved the outdoors and especially spending time with her grandchild Cassie in the garden.

She is survived by children, Jennifer (Marc) Emmons of Owatonna and John Haase of Owatonna; granddaughter, Cassandra Emmons of Owatonna; siblings, Brenda Hansen Elrod of Kenosha, Doug (Myung) Heins of Waltham, Jon (Cindy) Heins of Kenosha and Dawn (Mark) Frieberg of Hayfield; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Frances; husband, Rick Miller; brothers, Clarence "Butch" and Kenneth and nephew, Dylan Zamora.
