Reuben F. Kruckeberg, 79, of Owatonna, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Owatonna Hospital. Reuben was born April 9, 1935 in Claremont, Minnesota the son of Ewald and Herta (Schmidt) Kruckeberg. Reuben graduated from Blooming Prairie High School class of 1953. After school Reuben joined the Army from 1955 to 1957 he was stationed in Ft. Riley Kansas and Ft. Carson CO. After the Army he came home to Claremont and helped his dad on his farm. Rueben worked for the Bixby Feed Mill, Owatonna Manufacturing and Owatonna tool from which he retired after 28 years in 2000. After he retired he had a lawn care business. Reuben enjoyed lawn care, gardening and raising pigs. Reuben was a member of the American Legion and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Owatonna. He is survived by his brothers, Marlin (Theresa) Kruckeberg, Claremont, Gary (Elaine) Kruckeberg, Clovis, NM; sisters, Ardis Reed, Barstow, CA, Myrna (Raymond) Stroh Cedar Hills, TX; nieces and nephews, Paula Kohlmeier, Jacquie Escajeda, Kay Livingston, Illena Maes, Lori Mattson, Randy Kruckeberg, Jeanne Ide, Ronnie Kruckeberg, Michael Stroh, Lynda Mathison, Bradley Kruckeberg, Shawn Kruckeberg, Kristin Kruckeberg, Teri Kruckeberg and aunt Matilda Tavis, Albert Lea. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
