Robert A. Miller, 49, of Austin, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at his home. He was born April 10, 1964 the son of George and Susan (Lewis) Miller. Graduated from Shakopee High School, and started working doing landscaping. In 1984 he started working doing asbestos abatement. He then became a member of the Local 34 heat and frost insulator union, working for Nyco of Inver Grove Heights. Robert was very close to his family, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding his Harley. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Kalkbrenner of Minneapolis, siblings Greg (and Pamela) Miller of Lakeville, Rebecca (and David) Kersten of Rose Creek, Mike (and Jessica) of Apple Valley, and Amy (and Earl) Ehrich of Kenyon. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Evan, Jacob, Maddison, Jeff, and Justin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home Owatonna on Tuesday December 10, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Private family graveside services will be held at Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
