Robert William Binkley, 73, of Owatonna, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Koda Living Community. Robert was born January 20, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida the son of Robert Spencer Jr. and Nellis (Buress) Binkley. Robert moved to the mid-west when he was 18 working in the logging industry. When he settled in Owatonna he worked for Grain Terminal Association (GTA) before working at Hydro-Ax/Blount. Robert then started his own construction company, which he operated for several years until his retirement. Robert enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting and especially being at their cabin up north He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved being with his dog, Marvin. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Binkley of Owatonna; daughters, Dawn (and John) Schmidt of Northfield, Heather (and Jason Hames) Musel of Owatonna, Debi Reese of North Platte, NE; son, Thomas (and Lisa) Binkley of Owatonna; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; sister, Nelmar Sahf; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Sonny Binkley. Memorial services will be held on a later date.
