Robert "Bob" John Buan, 69, of Medford, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Medford Senior Care.

He was born January 4, 1956, in Faribault, Minnesota the son of Ellsworth and Mary (Odegaard) Buan. Bob was baptized in 1956 and confirmed in 1971 at Hauge Lutheran Church in Kenyon. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Kenyon High School in 1974 and is a member of the Kenyon Athletics Hall of Fame in football. He worked various factory jobs in southern Minnesota before he retired.

Bob was very active and faithful member of Elevation North Church in Owatonna and recently joined Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He loved listening to all of his CD's and knew almost every one that he had. Bob was a big Minnesota Vikings fan always hoping for that Super Bowl win.

He is survived by his siblings, Richard Buan of Litchfield, David (and Beverly) Buan of Oakdale, Daniel (and Paulette) Buan of Kenyon, Ann (and Roland) Truelson of Owatonna, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth and Mary Buan; brothers, Mark Buan, and Douglas Buan; and sister-in-law Ardith Buan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with a visitation starting one hour prior to the service. Pastor Doug Jones will be officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon. Memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association.
