Robert A. 'Bob' Neuleib, 82, of Owatonna, died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, Minnesota. He was born February 15, 1928 in Clinton Falls Township, Steele County, Minnesota the son of Art and Ella (Kriesel) Neuleib. He graduated high school and attended St. Olaf College where he graduated in 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He entered into the United States Army on September 20, 1950 and was assigned to Company I 224th Infantry Regiment until his honorable discharge on August 30, 1952. After the service, Bob taught biology, physical education and coached football at Osakis High School. Bob married Joanne Claesgens on September 4, 1954 in St. Cloud. They moved to Owatonna and Bob worked as a salesman for Lindsay Brothers selling farm equipment for over thirty-five years until his retirement. Bob was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion and Elks Club. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico and spending time with family at Fox Lake. He enjoyed the outdoors especially grilling, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards. Bob was a devoted husband and wonderful father who can be described by his family as unselfish and loving. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Neuleib of Owatonna; children, Catherine Neuleib of Maple Grove, David Neuleib of Waukesha, WI, Kris (and Gary) Feichtinger of Owatonna, Jody (and Bill) Young of Owatonna; grandchildren, Jack and Megan Neuleib of Waukesha, WI, Matt and David Feichtinger of Owatonna; brothers-in-law, Jim (and Carolyn) Claesgens of Boise, Idaho, Bob Claesgens of San Fransisco, CA; sisters-in-law, Donna Neuleib of Arizona and niece, Lynn Neuleib of Missouri. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Neuleib. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Reverend Edward McGrath officiating. A reception gathering will be held following the service at the church. Private interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna with honors provided by Steele County Military Funeral Unit. Memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice House.
