Obituary

Robert Buck or Bob Leo Bohlman, 86, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna. He was born July 14, 1931 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Leo and Alma (Dinse) Bohlman and attended Owatonna Public Schools. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he returned to Owatonna and worked at Partridge's Greenhouse and Railway Express before beginning his 42 year career with Jostens. He was honored and proud to set the diamonds for Super Bowl rings. On August 4, 1956, he married Audrey Eaker at St. John's Lutheran Church in Havana Township. The couple made their home in Owatonna where they raised their three daughters. Buck or Gotta Go Buck, as he was often known, was always on the move. He rarely sat still for very long. Buck and Audrey purchased a cabin on the north shore of Mazaska Lake in October, 1969, where family gathered and created memories lasting a lifetime. It has been the summer home for 48 years and will continue to be. Buck enjoyed bowling, deer hunting, Canadian fishing trips with his friends, pitching horseshoes, spending time with family at the cabin and especially treasured quiet evenings with Audrey. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the V.F.W. and was proud to have served his country. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Audrey Bohlman of Owatonna; daughter, Valerie (Jerry) Buecksler of Brownsdale and their children, Kayleena (Eaton) Miller, Caleb Buecksler (fianc�©e, Amy Oelschlager) and Andrea (Derrick) Adams; daughter, Brenda (Craig) Wahl of Owatonna and their children, Tyler (Nicci) Wahl, Kelsey (Josh) Pilcher and Mikayla Wahl; daughter, Tammy (Nathan) Garner of Blooming Prairie and their children, Derek Garner (fianc�©e, Ashly McCorkell) and Carlie (Billy) Berg; 11 great grandchildren, Ambriella, Bentley, Kazaiya, Malaya, Boone, Fletcher, Kailynn, Madelynn, Mackenzie, Gracie and Bryar; brother, Lyle (DeLoris) Bohlman of Owatonna; brothers-in-law, Elsmer Eaker and Jacob Simonson and sister-in-law, Vivian (Mike) Quast. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Alma Bohlman; very special great-granddaughter, Jovie Kay Pilcher and sisters-in-law, LaVonne Simonson and Gladys Eaker. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held April 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Owatonna with Reverend Mark Rosenau and Reverend Greg Schlicker officiating. Interment will be at a later date in St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Homestead Hospice or donor's choice.
