Robert Joe "Bob" Cords Jr., 51, of Owatonna, died Monday, April 1, 2019 at Homestead Hospice House. He was born September 19, 1967 in Owatonna, the son of Robert Sr. and Karen (Coulter) Cords. Bob graduated from Owatonna High School in 1986. He attended Brainerd Community College and Mankato State University. Bob married Tina Huntington and they had one daughter, Brianna. They were later divorced. Bob worked at Wal-Mart and various auto parts stores in the area, including Napa Auto Parts in Owatonna. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed the annual fishing trips with family in Northern MN. He also enjoyed deer hunting with a college friend in the Princeton area. Bob's interests also included photography, archery, and traveling, especially his trip to Walt Disney World with Brianna. He was always ready for a good card game. Survivors include his mother, Karen; daughter, Brianna of River Falls, WI; half-sister, Brianna (Bob) Stoen; half-brothers, Chris Cords of Albert Lea, and Jeff Cords of New Richland. Memorials are preferred to the Homestead Hospice House or to the family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 1-3pm at the History Center in Owatonna (Lange Room).
