Robert Arthur Fideldy, 81, of Owatonna, died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born May 21, 1936 in Shakopee, Minnesota the son of Arthur and Hazel (Anderson) Fideldy. He grew up in Shakopee where he attended school through the eighth grade. He served in the United States Army, Navy and National Guard. On January 10, 1959, he married Ruth Pollom and they later divorced. Robert worked at Eaton in Eden Prairie, Valley Cue in Shakopee, Midland Glass in Shakopee and Little 6 Bingo in Prior Lake. Following a stroke in May 2005 he moved to Owatonna and lived with his son, Steve until September 2007 when he moved to Traditions. Robert enjoyed fishing, playing pool, throwing darts, watching sports and western movies, attending sporting activities and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by children, Mary Fideldy of Belle Plaine, Sue (Tony) Sisk of Radcliff, KY, Ruth (Steve) Westveer of Shakopee, Steve Fideldy of Owatonna Margaret (Leslie) Thurman of Abingdon, IL; 10 Grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and sisters, Jeanette (James) Hemme and Cheryl (Snuff) Johnson. He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Hazel granddaughters, Tiffany and Tina Sisk and sisters, Rita Sullivan, Betty (Hank) LaZerte, Lois (John) Theis, Patsy Jurovich. A Memorial Service will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior.
