Robert Carl Jante, 78, of Blooming Prairie, MN, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota Robert was born July 16, 1930 in Garner, Iowa the son of Ernest and Clara (Chase) Jante. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. While in the service, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Spinler on November 4, 1953. They lived in the Blooming Prairie area and farmed most of his life. Robert is survived by his wife Lorraine of Blooming Prairie, two daughters, Roberta (and Ray) Williams of Arizona City, AZ, Lori (and Jeff) Trotman of Rochester, MN; a sister, Ernestine Rand of Owatonna, MN; four granddaughters, Jennie, Kellie, Jessica, Rachel and one great granddaughter, Lillie Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Saturday from 4-7 PM. Private family services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blooming Prairie with The Reverend Paul Nelson officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens.
