Robert Jeffrey Lair 56, of Kenyon, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born March 13, 1952 in Portsmouth, Virginia the son of Virgil and Mildred (Dyrdahl) Lair. Jeffrey graduated from Kenyon High School. He worked at various furniture stores around Minnesota and in Colorado. He continued to live in Kenyon and do various jobs including furniture repair, leatherwork, and some working on cars. His love of working with leather created many beautiful pieces for friends and family. His mother Mildred Lair of Kenyon, daughter Paige Lair of Kenyon, son Zachary Lair of Kenyon, son Jason Barron of Kenyon, two brothers Douglas Lair of Kenyon, and Thomas Lair of Fredericksburg, VA, and sister Kristin Lair- Ray of Barnum, MN, and six grandchildren survive Jeffrey. He was preceded in death by his father Virgil, and special friend Teresa David. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home in Kenyon on Monday August 18, from 5-8 PM and at First Evangelical Lutheran Church on Tuesday August 19, one hour prior to the service. Memorial service will be August 19, at 10:30 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church- Kenyon with the Reverend Luther Mathsen officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery.
