Robert Rob Michael Campbell, 52, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in Owatonna. Rob was born August 4, 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Robert and MaryAnn (Tupy) Campbell. He graduated from Prior Lake High School and attended the University of Minnesota. Rob entered the United States Air Force on May 4, 1983 and served until April 15, 1987 receiving his honorable discharge. He then worked as a firefighter, EMT and hazmat specialist for the Air Force at the Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral. He accepted Christ as his Savior and Lord in 1983. Rob was an entrepreneur. He owned a number of business throughout his life including Virtual Golf and Grill in Oakdale, Minnesota, and Capital Carpet Cleaning which he franchised and sold. He also owned Nevada Bob's Golf in both Melbourne and Vero Beach, Florida. Although struggles in his own life, Rob was always happiest when helping others during their difficult times. Listening, reading scripture or preaching, Rob was always there to help. Before his service in the Air Force, Rob played in several successful bands. He loved to sing and entertain whenever he could. He is survived by father, Robert Campbell of Owatonna; his mother, MaryAnn Campbell of Owatonna; three sons, Sam Campbell of New York, NY; Kyle Campbell of Vero Beach, FL; Jack Campbell of Vero Beach, FL; three sisters, Kathleen (and Doug) Hoverkamp of Owatonna; Kelly Campbell (and Chris Hames) of Owatonna; Tracy (and Robert) Beauchamp of East Rochester, NY; a brother, Jim (and Barbara) Weir of Cottage Grove; his former wife, Barbara Campbell of Vero Beach, FL; and many nephews and nieces who loved him. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Perryman officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
