Robert L. Miller, 44, of Faribault, died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at his residence. Robert was born November 9, 1964 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Bernard and Betty (Riesing) Miller. Robert graduated from Owatonna High School in 1983. He then attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. He moved to Chicago, IL where he worked as an actuary for CNA Insurance. In 1991 Robert moved to Bermuda where he worked for Centre Solutions. In 2001 he moved to Faribault and made his home on Cedar Lake. Robert had many hobbies and especially enjoyed canoeing, biking and watching the Minnesota Twins. He enjoyed playing his guitar, the piano and writing his own music. He loved to travel and also playing games with his nephews and nieces. He is survived by two brothers, Mike (and Jeana) Miller of Winona; Don (and Nikki) Miller of Owatonna; a sister, Brenda (and Bruce) Martell of Somerset, WI. He is also survived by seven nephews and nieces, David and Joe Miller, Ashley, Samantha and Tori Martell and Breanna and Jake Miller. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Betty. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 PM with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 PM and also one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5, 2008 at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Litomysl with Father John Sauer officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Litomysl. Memorials are preferred to St. Mary''s Catholic School, Owatonna in memory of Robert.
