Robert F. Wavrin, 96, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Cedarview Care Center. He was born June 11, 1913 in Steele County, Minnesota the son of Frank and Mathilda (Spinler) Wavrin. Robert grew up and attended school in Steele County, and started farming at a young age. He later worked at Borden's Milk Company in Owatonna, and also continued to farm. Robert moved to Medford in 1994, and then moved to the Brooks and eventually to Cedarview. Robert enjoyed the Minnesota Twins, horseshoes, fishing, and hunting for mushrooms. He is survived by nieces, Marjorie (and George) Wilday of Owatonna; Ellen (and Carrol) Morris of Rochester; Marilyn (and Sterling) Wendlandt of Owatonna; and a nephew Jerry (Sharon) Wilcox of Park Rapids. Several great nieces and nephews also survive Robert. His parents, and two sisters Elizabeth Case and Ann Wilcox preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday October 30, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral service will be held Friday October 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Paul Nelson officiating. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery.
