Roger Gene Anderson, 57, of Aurora Township, Minnesota, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home. Roger was born February 10, 1958 in Owatonna, Minnesota, the son of Raymond and Emogene (Carlson) Anderson. Roger was a 1976 graduate of Owatonna High School. Roger was the fourth generation to farm on his family farm in Aurora Township that was started by his great great grandfather. He raised beef cattle and crop farmed. Roger married Tamara Leroy on April 8, 2011 at Osage, IA. They farmed together on the family farm. Roger was an excellent diesel mechanic and enjoyed working on his tractors. He loved to tour the countryside looking at the area crops. Roger was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Bixby. He is survived by his wife, Tamara Anderson of rural Blooming Prairie, MN; sister, Deloris (Philip) Velzke of Owatonna; a daughter and a son; aunts, Ella Benson of Blooming Prairie, and Myrtle Peterson of Ellendale, and many extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
