God needed another angel, and took Roger Donald Hogate, 73, of Owatonna, on Friday, October 26, 2018. Roger was born March 30, 1945 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Harvey and Gertrude (Brown) Hogate. After high school, Roger joined the Army for a couple of years. He married Minnie Brooks on November 3, 1984. The couple made their home in Owatonna. Roger worked for many years at Truth. He then worked in the cities at De-Bourgh before returning to Owatonna to work at Nu Built, Careers Training Center and Modern Metal Products. Roger loved spending time with his family, music, fishing, camping, drawing, photography and working on his cars and motorcycle and an avid sports enthusiast. Roger is survived by his wife Minnie (Lee) Hogate; ex-wife, Sherry Froehle; children, Nancy(Wayne) Hogate, Richard (Ruby) Brooks, Anita Rademacher, Angie (Tim) Green, Rick Hogate; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Nancy) Hogate, Art (Vi who is Minnie's sister) Hogate; sister, Connie (Don) Abbe; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Coralynn Hogate; son, Troy Hogate; parents, Harvey and Gertrude Hogate; great-granddaughter, Angel Stevenson. Visitation will be at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Owatonna on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral services will following immediately at 12:00 pm on November 1, 2018 at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Brian Wright officiating.
