Rolf E. Iversen, 56, of Waseca, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at his home. He was born July 10, 1951 in Waseca the son of Einer and Marjorie (Erickson) Iversen. Rolf graduated from Waseca High School in 1969 and St. Olaf College in 1973. He studied law at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA graduating in 1975. In 1976 Rolf joined his father at Iversen Law Firm in Waseca. He worked with his partner, Robert Sterling and secretary, Bea O''Brien until 2008 at the Iversen Sterling Law Office. Rolf was a generous person. He enjoyed helping his family, friends, clients and community. Rolf married Mary Ellen Mohr July 14, 1987 in Waseca. Since their marriage, the couple has lived on Rolf''s grandparents'' home farm near Waseca where they raised their son, Jan Christian Iversen. Rolf was a member of the Fifth District Bar Association, American Bar Association, Waseca Sportsmans Club, Waseca Red Cross and the Waseca Pilots Association. He served on the Woodville Cemetery Board and was legal counsel for Woodville Township. Rolf was an adventurer. He enjoyed aviation as a pilot and airplane builder. He was proud to be a sea plane pilot as well. He was a sportsman and conservationist. In high school Rolf played basketball, track and football and was inducted into the Waseca High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen of Waseca; son, Jan C. Iversen of Waseca; brother, Eric (and Pam) Iversen of Silver Bay; sister-in-law, Dr. Sheila Burke of Eagle River, AK and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Einer C. and Marjorie Iversen and one brother, Dr. Jan A. Iversen. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday from 3-7pm. Honoring Rolf''s request there will be no service at this time. Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Foundation, Pheasants Forever of Waseca, and the Music Boosters of Owatonna.
