Romona 'Mona' A. Meyer, 48, of Kenyon, died Friday, June 24, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 13, 1963 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Eugene and Marian (Seykora) Spindler. Romona graduated with the OHS class of 1981, and started working as a CNA at Cedarview, the Owatonna Commons and Fairview Nursing Homes. She then moved to the Dennison area and worked for Cannon Valley Woodwork, the Northfield Retirement Center, and Con Agra Foods in Lakeville. Romona then moved to Kenyon in 2002 and continued to work at Con Agra, Kenyon Sunset Home and Northfield Retirement Center. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kenyon. Romona enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her parents Eugene (and Marian) Spindler of Owatonna, daughter, Holly Howard of Kenyon, son, Nathan (and fiance Elizabeth Berge) Howard of Faribault, her grandson Brody Parks and her fiance John Kirlin of Kenyon. She is also survived by two sisters Monica Tonsager of Kenyon, Lisa (Tim) Karl of Nerstrand, and three brothers Norman (Laurie) Spindler, Jerome Spindler, and Dale Spindler all of Owatonna, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Paternal and Maternal Grandparents Frank (Irene) Spindler and Rudolph (Margaret) Seykora, two uncles Paul (Marcella) Spindler, and Luverne Spindler, and her aunt Helen Hafstad. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Tuesday June 28, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Reverend Kevin Finnegan officiating.
