Ronald J. Anderson, 76, St. George, Utah formerly of Owatonna, MN was called home to Heaven on October 3, 2013. Ronald was born August 26, 1937 in Rice County, MN to Donald and Loretta (Anhorn) Anderson. He graduated from Medford High School and served honorably in the US Air Force. Following his release from the Air Force, he traveled the US and fell in love with the canyons and mountains of the southwest. Ronald was married to Betty Lombard, on December 3, 1967 In Owatonna. They moved to Provo, Utah in 1974, to raise their family. They were later divorced. Ronald relocated to St. George, Utah in 1998. Ronald enjoyed photography, gardening, tending his orchids and cacti, astronomy, camping and hiking in the mountains, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son. Ronald is survived by 4 children: Kevin Anderson of Big Lake, MN; Eric (DeeDee Blakely) Anderson of Lindon, UT; Sherry Measom of New Hope, MN; Carrie (Rob) Babcock of Elk River, MN; 14 grandchildren; Sister, Marlys (Bob) Stark of Owatonna, MN; 6 Nephews and Nieces Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna, MN from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday October 12, 2013, a memorial service will follow at 11:00 A.M with Reverend Julie Malone officiating. Michaelson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Burial will follow at Meadow Ridge Cemetery in Faribault. Military Honors will be provided by the Steele County Military Funeral Unit.
