Rose Margaret Reed, 88, of Owatonna, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Three Links Care Center, Northfield. She was born February 29, 1920 in Owatonna the daughter of Steve and Amelia (Herman) Stursa. Rose was raised near Owatonna and attended country school and then Mankato Commercial College. She was married to Daryl Reed on June 15, 1948 in Mankato. They later divorced. From this marriage they had one son, Daryl "Jiggs" Reed. Rose was employed as a waitress in Owatonna and also at the Eagles Club. She enjoyed many things, especially visiting with family, eating out, going to rummage sales and collecting things. She also enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards. She is survived by a brother, Rudy (and Martha) Stursa of Owatonna, sister-in-laws, Helen Stursa of Owatonna, Berniece Stursa of Bellflower, California and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, September 8, 2008 from 10-11am. Funeral services will be held September 8, 2008 at 11am at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Loren Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Owatonna.
