Rosemary Ellen Hollister, 78, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Traditions II in Owatonna. She was born March 20, 1942 in Farmington, Illinois the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Mobley) Wilcox. She grew up in Farmington, IL where she graduated from high school in 1960. On April 14, 1961, she married David Lee Hollister in Farmington, IL. The couple lived in Farmington, Peoria, Cissna Park and Pekin (all in Illinois) and Urbandale, IA for a short time before moving to Owatonna in 1984. Rosemary was a day care provider, caring for many children over the years as their parents worked. Rosemary was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Owatonna. She enjoyed shopping, reading and going out to eat. She especially enjoyed Christmas and usually went all out decorating and buying presents. She is survived by her children, Teresa (Todd) Rogers of Concord, NC and David Paul (Rosy) Hollister of Owatonna; grandchildren, Tori Rogers and Travis Rogers of Concord, NC, David Patrick (Jen) Hollister of Byron, Troy (Tawney) Hollister of Wells, Melissa (Cat) Zimmerman of Mayer, Paige Simon of Wanamingo and Tristan Hollister of Owatonna; great-grandchildren, David, Matthew, Troy, Taylynn, Teegan, Emmy, Huxley and Logan and sister-in-law, Lois Wilcox of Farmington, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mabel: husband, David Lee Hollister; and siblings, Sue (Norman) Canton, Norma (Chris) Ferrick, Raymond Wilcox and Garth Wilcox. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, July 13th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Everett Holmes officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Face masks are optional.
