Roxanne Frances Copp, 48, of Claremont, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at her home. Roxanne was born April 11, 1967 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Francis and Sharon (Arndt) Wanous. Roxanne graduated from Owatonna High School in 1985. Roxanne married Chris Copp on September 2, 1989 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. She worked as a Senior Buyer for Truth Hardware for 27 years. Roxanne loved the outdoors and spending time at their cabin on Leech Lake. She spent her days on the water either fishing or just relaxing. Roxanne enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking, and as a child, helping on the family farm. She was active in sports and participated in softball, broomball, and volleyball. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Havana Township. She is survived by her husband, Chris Copp of Claremont; her daughters, Hannah, Hailey, and Danielle Copp of Claremont; parents, Francis and Sharon Wanous of Owatonna; siblings, Mike (Teresa) Wanous of Owatonna, Rhonda (Bob) Hareid of Ellendale, and Gary (Michelle) Wanous of Owatonna; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Copp of Owatonna; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Dawn) Copp of Owatonna, and Jay Copp (Onie Kaiser) of Owatonna; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 12:00PM to 3:00PM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna. A reception will be held immediately following the visitation at 3:00PM at the VFW in Owatonna. A private family service and interment service will be held on Thursday with The Reverend Alan Broadwell officiating. Roxanne will be laid to rest at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Havana Township, Minnesota. Memorials are preferred to the family or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
