Ruby Ades, 82, of Kenyon, died Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Three Links Care Center in Northfield. She was born February 18, 1935 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Bernard and Esther (Hall) Stoerzinger. She grew up in South St. Paul and graduated from South St. Paul High School, Class of 1954. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in South St. Paul. She met Ray Ades when she was 15 and the couple was married on July 8, 1953, at Grace Lutheran Church. They made their home in South St. Paul where they began their family. In 1969, they moved to a farm in rural Dennison where they continued raising their family. They then moved to Kenyon in 1995. Ruby was not only a devoted wife and mother, but also a supportive business partner with her husband in their business ventures, a motorcycle race track early in their marriage and later on, the farm in rural Dennison. She loved to bake and cook for the family. In her younger years she enjoyed camping, boating and motorcycling. She is survived by children, Renae (Jeff) Jacobson and Ray (Katy) Ades both of Kenyon and Robin (Kevin) Langemo of Mankato; sister, Donna Mae (Dan) Dobbins; sister-in-law, Judy Stoerzinger and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Nancy Ades; 9 grandchildren, Melissa (Dale) Callstrom, Jason (Marybelle) Jacobson, Lacy (Carl) Larish, Jake (Jen) Langemo, Emma (Ethan Loftus) Langemo, Regan (Kristin) Ades, Aubrie (Philip) McBride, Hudson Ades, and Mitchell Ades; 7 great-grandchildren, Dylan Callstrom, Britta Callstrom, Spencer Miner, Jay Jacobson, Eva Jacobson, Reuben Ades and Brady Langemo and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Ades; daughter, Yvonne Marie Ades; great-grandson, Gunnar Ray Callstrom and brother, Bernard Stoerzinger, Jr. A visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Kenyon on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 5-8pm and at the church one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Holden Lutheran Church, rural Kenyon with, Reverend Heather Culuris officiating.
