Ruth Evelyn Pederson, 85, of Huntsville, AL formerly of Minnesota died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Crestwood Hospital. She was born September 8, 1925 in Borgholm Township, Minnesota the daughter of George and Ruth (Smallwood) Severeign. She was a longtime Donaldson Dept. Store employee at Southdale Mall. After retirement Ruth moved to Arizona and then Alabama. Enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, needlepoint, and reading a good mystery. She is survived by her son, Dale (and Laura) Pederson of Ardmore, AL, cousin Beth Bork of Milaca, and several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin, two sisters and one brother. Graveside services will be held Friday April 22, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, assembly area #2.
