Sally Julia Dressel, 84, of Medford, died Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Milestone Senior Living in Faribault. She was born December 26, 1933 in La Crosse, Wisconsin the daughter of Raymond and Julia (Ruegg) Sampson. She graduated from Winona High School and continued her education at Winona State for Medical Secretary Training. While attending college, she met Mark H. Dressel and they were married on November 14, 1953, in La Grange, Indiana. The couple lived in Marshall, Michigan from 1953 to 1972 when they moved to a farm in Richland Township near Moland. Sally was an excellent cook, an avid reader, kept an immaculate house, was a seamstress, enjoyed knitting and painting. She also enjoyed traveling and was an excellent navigator. She was a member of the Merton Community Club and Moland Lutheran Church where she enjoyed quilting with the ladies. She is survived by her husband Mark H. Dressel of Medford; children, Deborah (George) Gillen of Kenyon, Mark S. (Kim) Dressel of Kenyon and Eric (Julie) Dressel of Faribault; daughter-in-law, Jolene Dressel of East Bethel; siblings, John (Gloria) Sampson of Onalaska, WI, Mary Olson of Hatfield, WI and June (Mike) Patrick of Hatfield, WI; grandchildren, Betsy (David) Doolittle, Katie (Greg Ness) Gillen, Andrea (Robb) Finnigsmier, Laurie (Adam) Kirschling, Emily (Brandon) Lazarz, Matt (Whitney) Dressel, Sam (Brianna) Dressel, Jana (Bradley) Schiltz, Kara (Brian) Pittman, Tom Dressel, Dianne (Tim) Bennett and Kelli (Josh Burton) Dressel; 16 great-grandchildren and brother-in-law, Donald (Linda) Unruh of Vancouver, WA. She was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Julia; son, David Dressel; great-grandson, Asher Dressel; sister, Cynthia Unruh and nephew, Joel Justin Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Moland Lutheran Church with The Reverend Nancy Edwardson officiating.
