Sandra J. Amberg, 71, of Owatonna, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 after a long illness at St. Mary's Hospital. Sandra Jean Talley was born April 24, 1940 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Melvin and Beatrice (Stransky) Talley. Here she was raised and attended school. She was united in marriage to Richard G. Amberg on January 19, 1957 in Long Beach, CA. She worked in factories and retail for many years including Herter''s Sporting Goods and EF Johnson in Waseca, Schultz''s in Owatonna and later retired from Target Department Store. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, sewing, knitting, ceramics and cooking. She is survived by her husband Dick Amberg of Owatonna; her sons, Mike (and Susan) Amberg of Boyertown, PA; Robert (and DeeAnn) Amberg of Geneva; a daughter, Renee Larson of Owatonna; a brother, Gerald Talley of Owatonna;, three sisters, Barbara (and Jack) Monahan of Waseca; Lori (and Jerry) Wobschall of Ellendale; Margie (and Odean) Otterson of Clarks Grove; a sister in law, Corinne Talley of Owatonna; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Michael, James and John Talley and a sister, Gladys Mathis. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend John Sauer officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
