Sandra K. Sandy Meyerhofer, 65, of Owatonna, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, December 23, 2018. She was born April 28, 1953 in Owatonna, the daughter of Walter A. Zak and Jean K. Mensing. Sandy attended Ellendale and Owatonna schools. For over 40 years, Sandy has worked with many families and patients at Park Place where she retired from there in April 2018. After retiring, she still enjoyed visiting her friends at Park Place. Sandy had a big heart, was extremely thoughtful, and loved helping people. She loved to dance, ride motorcycles, and enjoyed her time spent helping the residents at Park Place. She also loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Abe) Fitch of Owatonna; brother, Rodney Zak; sister, Lisa (Jim) Bedney; 2 grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin; nieces, Danielle and Jessica Bedney; nephews, Justin Ness and Chad Zak; great-nephew Owen Zak; and special friend, Roger May. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Roxana Dube. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday from 12-1pm. Memorial services will be held December 30, 2018 at 1pm at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
