Sandy Eleanor Schroeder 70, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, Minnesota. Sandy was born August 16, 1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Stanley and Sophie (Lewandowski) Dudek. She graduated high school in 1963. Sandy was united in marriage to Gordon Schroeder on August 24, 1963. They settled in Waseca, Minnesota and later moved to Owatonna. Sandy enjoyed being a full time mother of their three children. She worked for various businesses including Federated Insurance for over 15 years. After her retirement, she loved being a devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren. Sandy and Gordon enjoyed their day trips, weekends up north, and spending time with their retired friends. She is survived by her children, Greg (Kristin) Schroeder of Owatonna, MN, Karen (Steve) Schleicher of Oakdale, MN, and Paul Schroeder of Hackensack, MN; four grandchildren, Julia, Will, Cole, and Grace. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gordon (2013); her parents; her brother, Harry Dudek. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Owatonna with The Reverend Amanda Weinkauf officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Allina Health Home Care and Hospice.
