Scott M. Beron, 65, of Owatonna, died Friday, November 27, 2020, at Abbott Northwestern surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 18, 1955, and raised in the Duluth area, the son of Giles and Joan (Benson) Beron. Scott graduated from Hermantown High School in 1973. Scott lived in Duluth and worked for the local railroad before moving to the Twin Cities where he worked as a union carpenter. Scott then began his career with Ryan Companies as a carpenter and later became the corporate safety director where he worked for over 37 years. On November 23, 2001, he married Shelli (Clausen) Schock in Las Vegas. They moved to Owatonna and made their home. Scott was very caring, outgoing and active. He lived life to the fullest and was often traveling, walking, golfing and biking. He enjoyed going on trips especially JEEP rides, snowmobiling up north and out west and riding in the annual ALS Blizzard Tour Snowmobile Fundraiser for 20 years. Scott's most memorable times were spent with his family, entertaining, grilling and telling stories. He loved his weekly dates with his granddaughters, Nora and Elsa. Scott will be greatly missed as he was the man you could count on for anything and everything.
He is survived by his wife, Shelli Beron of Owatonna; sons, Nolan (and Sarah) Beron of Victoria, Andrew "A.J." Beron of New Orleans, LA, Colton Schock of Owatonna; granddaughters, Nora and Elsa Beron; mother, Joan Beron of Duluth and brother, Dale (Laura) Beron of Duluth; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Giles Beron.
There will be a private memorial service.
